We’re the most efficient and simplest way to manage buying a home.
Mark Pagomenakis is the Sr. Vice President of Production at Goldwater Bank. He has been helping people with finance needs for almost 20 years. “Financing a house can be a stressful situation for many people, so it’s important to me that our clients have accurate information to make well-informed financial decisions. That is why our team strives to provide a stress-free experience during the mortgage process. We are not just ‘application-takers’ or ‘rate-quoters.’ We are finance professionals.”
Mark has seen how great managers can challenge, motivate and inspire people to do spectacular things, so he continually strives to be a great manager for those on his team. “If you are going to achieve sustainable success as a mortgage professional, I believe it is critical to be aligned with a team of people that can provide the support and accountability to drive those results.”
Mark has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and holds a master’s degree in accounting and finance. “My Greek heritage has provided me an appreciation for good food and good friends, so we regularly have crowds at our house where we can enjoy both.” The family is an avid soccer family. Mark plays weekly and loves to watch his kids play “the beautiful game!”

For over 20 years, Donna Bacon has made a significant mark in the mortgage industry of West Georgia. Born and raised in West Georgia, Donna has helped countless people in the community realize their dream–whether buying their first home or their fifth, assisting them with refinancing options, or looking to consolidate debt, pay for college tuition, or use their home equity to make a major purchase. Donna is a Senior Loan Officer with Legacy Mortgage Team.
After graduating from the University of West Georgia in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Donna began her career in the home loan industry.
Donna is passionate about helping people achieve their dreams through home ownership. Although she is able to work with borrowers throughout the U.S., her focus lies on helping people in the West Georgia counties she knows so well: Haralson, Douglas, Polk, Carroll and Paulding.
Honesty is what drives Donna’s personalized service. “I will not lead anyone anywhere they can’t go. I want my buyers to feel comfortable and not intimidated by the whole process. I believe in communication, and my customers know that if they leave me a message and I am not available, I will be back to them within the hour.”
Donna works with all types of loans, but specializes in Veterans Administration (VA) loans and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) loans, both of which are very important to the region. She has made it her mission to demystify the complexity of USDA loans, which are subject to certain household income parameters, and rural location eligibility.
Her pride and joy, however, is her family. She and husband Chris have two children, Zac and Kyle, who keep them very busy with school and extracurricular activities. The entire family is very involved with their community and their church, where Donna has served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Chris owns a local business, Bremen Body Shop in Haralson County.
“I don’t sell loans,” explains Donna, “I build relationships. I educate my borrowers from start to finish on what’s involved, so that they’re not lost in the shuffle. After all, their best compliment to me, is a referral.”
